Why we run jobs the way we do
The idea behind ABS is simple. An electrician looks at the job before anyone quotes it, so the price holds and the day holds. If anything does change, you hear it from someone who knows why.
That is how every job runs. An electrician answers the phone. We look at the photos and write the price. The crew turns up in a stocked van, does the work, tests it, and the certificate goes out with the invoice. If something is not right afterwards, you ring the same number and we come back.
I started ABS on the tools and I am still on them. These days there is a crew of licensed electricians beside me, which is what lets us take on a gym fit-out and still get to the ceiling fan down the road. Bigger jobs get more than one van.
Most of the work comes from people telling their neighbours. That only keeps happening if every job is one I would put my name to. So that is the standard for everyone in an ABS shirt: done like it is our own house, tidy when we leave, priced the way we would want to be priced.

Cal came out for an emergency loss of power and was prompt, fair pricing, found and solved the problem quickly. How we work
This is us
Six things we hold ourselves to on every job, big or small. If we miss one, tell us.
We answer the phone
A person picks up, and the price comes back in writing the same day. The bit before the job is where most tradies fall over, so we do not.
We turn up when we said
A two-hour window, agreed in advance. A text when the van leaves. A call if anything moves it.
We explain it, we do not talk down
We answer the basic questions, lay out the options, and talk to whoever made the call, eye to eye.
We leave no trace
Cables clipped and tidy, no new holes, the dust gone. You should not be able to tell we were there, apart from the work.
We say what we cannot do
If we are flat out we say three weeks and mean it. If a job needs a bigger crew we bring one. We only make promises we can keep.
We send the paper with the job
A certificate of test with the invoice, every time. The insurer will ask for it one day, and you should not have to chase it.

A licensed ABS electrician in uniform, in a marked van. Small jobs are usually one electrician. Bigger jobs get a crew, sometimes more than one van, and you are told beforehand who is coming and when.
You get told straight away, with a real date. Emergencies still get a same-day call back and a make-safe visit where we can. If it cannot wait and we cannot get there, we say so and suggest someone who can.
Yes. Electrical contractor licence 1502980 for the electrical side and refrigerant handling licence ARC RSS03 for the refrigerant side. Both are needed for a compliant split-system install, and both numbers are on the invoice.
The company is registered as ABS All Building Services, and some long-standing customers have had us coordinate small building and plumbing jobs alongside the electrical. The website is about the electrical work, which is what we are licensed for. Ask about anything else.
Our workmanship, for twelve months from the invoice. If something we installed or connected fails because of how it was installed, we come back and fix it at no charge. Manufacturer faults are handled under the product warranty, and we help with the claim.
$20M public liability. A certificate of currency is available on request, usually the same day, which body corporates and commercial sites often ask for before work starts.
