In most cases, yes. We check whether your current inverter is battery-ready or whether you need a hybrid or AC-coupled setup, then design the battery around your usage. We will tell you upfront what your existing system can and cannot support before you commit.
It depends on your current inverter. Some are already battery-ready, others need a hybrid inverter or an AC-coupled battery with its own inverter. We assess this during the design stage so there are no surprises.

A typical residential solar and battery install runs one to two days on site, depending on the system size, your roof and whether the switchboard needs any work. We give you a clear timeline before we start.
Sometimes. Older switchboards may need an upgrade to safely support solar and battery, especially if they still run ceramic fuses. We check this during design and quote any switchboard work separately so you can see exactly what is included.
Your panels, battery and inverter carry their own manufacturer warranties, which vary by brand. On top of that, our installation work is backed by a minimum 12-month workmanship guarantee under Electrical Contractor Licence 1502980.

The Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes roughly a quarter to a third off an installed battery. It is paid per kWh of usable capacity: the full rate on the first 14 kWh, 60 per cent of it from 14 to 28 kWh, and 15 per cent above that, and the rate steps down every six months until 2030. We claim it and show it as a line on the quote; you do nothing. The battery has to be paired with solar and fitted by an accredited installer to qualify.
Whatever we wire to the backup output: usually the fridge, lights, internet and a few power points, or the whole house on a bigger battery. A 13 kWh battery runs the essentials overnight comfortably; running the aircon as well drains it in a couple of hours. We agree the backup circuits at the design stage.
No. The battery has to be capable of joining one to get the federal discount, but joining is optional. Some retailers pay a credit to draw on your battery at peak times; others want control of it. We set it up either way and tell you what the plan actually gives you.
On a wall with the clearances the standard asks for, out of the weather and away from bedrooms and exits, which for most Brisbane homes means the garage or a shaded external wall. Where it sits on a timber-framed wall we fit cement sheet behind it, as the standard now recommends.
Not past what the roof can fill and the house can use. A battery that never fills in winter earns nothing on the empty part, and the discount tapers after 14 kWh anyway. We size to your evening and overnight use with a little spare, and the sizer on this page will get you close.
